Due to our ongoing commitment to foster the growth and development of our future leaders, and continued success within our Acoustics Division, we are currently seeking a Field Technician to join our team in Newcastle. In this role you will be a member of our national team and will work collectively with, and be mentored by, other acoustic specialists.

Here’s what you can expect 
  • You’ll predominantly focus on projects within Newcastle’s mining industry, with scope to also explore industries such as solar, wind farms and hydro, thanks to our national delivery model.  
  • You’ll conduct a variety of fieldwork, collecting valuable data, which you will then translate into high level reports for our clients.  
  • You’ll gain early exposure to Project Management and gain support liaising with clients.  
  • With several industry leaders at your disposable, you will be mentored and supported, gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

Here’s what you'll bring to have impact 

  • A Diploma in a relevant field such as Audio Engineering, or bachelor’s degree in a field such as, engineering, environmental science and management or audio engineering/production.  
  • An interest in building a career in Acoustics.  
  • Willingness to conduct fieldwork, including night noise monitoring surveys.  
  • Ability to manage own time and priorities and assist the rest of the team to meet project objectives in a deadline driven work environment. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with the team, clients and all relevant stakeholders. 
  • Have a strong work ethic and positive can-do attitude. 
  • Have a current/valid unrestricted driver's licence.
